Press release

Asheville Artist Asya Colie presents a small but intense PopUP Art Exhibit @MetroWines on Tuesday October 20th from 5-7 p.m. Asya Colie has been featured in WNC Magazine.

The exhibit by Asya Colie, who spent a many years in Portugal, partners with the WineTasting with Julia Kemper joining us from Portugal for her first visit in North Carolina to present her wines.

About Asya Colie:
I grew up in the south of France, in Provence, inspired by the colors of lavender sunsets, green vineyards and fields of red poppies. I work in a studio on the second floor of my 350 year old stone farmhouse in Provence during the summers, and I also have a studio in Asheville, North Carolina. Living in the Blue Ridge Mountains is the perfect complement to my country life in France. I primarily work with acrylics and mixed media like pastels, dyed linen and stitching. I draw upon my years in the fashion industry for inspiration as well. Many of my paintings represent the transient passage of youth and beauty.

MetroWines is at 169 Charlotte St. Visit metrowinesasheville.com for more information.
