Asheville-Buncombe Senior Games happen April 22 through May 17

Asheville Parks & Recreation invites area seniors to participate in friendly competition at the 2017 Asheville-Buncombe Senior Games and Silver Arts Competition.

Opening ceremonies will be held on April 22 with various competitions through May 12.  Awards will be presented at the Closing Ceremonies and Silver Arts Showcase on May 17.

Senior Games is an exciting health and fitness program for adults age 50 and older at various fitness levels.  Top competitors in each category are eligible to go to the State Games in Raleigh. Silver Arts is a statewide arts program that celebrates the accomplishments of Buncombe County’s senior artists and provides a showcase for our local talent.

Registration is only $10 through April 22 and covers event registrations, opening and closing ceremonies, a T-shirt and the awards dinner.
