Meeting of the Whole, April 2, will engage community in action planning for 2014
Asheville, NC – The Asheville-Buncombe Food Policy Council (ABFPC) will host its RESCHEDULED “Meeting of the Whole” on Wednesday, April 2, from 6:00 – 8:00pm.
The meeting will bring together community members and organizations to celebrate progress made in the past year to support healthy food access and a strong local food system in Asheville and Buncombe County. Meeting participants will also help the ABFPC plan for action around its strategic priorities for 2014. The original meeting was scheduled for February 10 but was postponed due to inclement weather.
WHO: All ABFPC members, local nonprofits, farmers, business owners, community members, policymakers, schools, and anyone else interested in shaping socially just food policy in Asheville and Buncombe County are invited to attend.

The ABFPC is a community-based coalition formed in 2011 by local advocates and policymakers to address food insecurity, a pressing issue in Asheville and Buncombe County that has profound effects on the health and wellbeing of city and county residents.
