Asheville City Council opens community survey on funding priorities

Press release from City of Asheville:

City staff has been conducting budget work sessions and holding community meetings to provide context around the budget process and gather input from residents. The presentations and detailed information can be found here.

In addition to the input gathered on priorities, formal plans (Comprehensive Plan, Department master plans, etc.) funding constraints and other factors will all be incorporated into the City Council’s decision making process to pass a balanced budget by June.

In addition, an opt-in survey has posted on Open City Hall Asheville at this link.

The survey will be open through Dec. 18.

What will the City do with the results? Once all input is collected, staff will compile the information and report it to City Council in January for consideration in the budget process.
