Asheville City Schools announces summer meal sites

Press release from Asheville City Schools: 

Asheville City Schools has been providing meals for children in some unique ways during the school closure, and we plan to continue this over the summer! All kids under the age of 18 are eligible for free meals, and adults may pick up meals for their children Monday-Friday, now through August 7th.

We will be offering grab and go meals from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm at Klondyke Apartments, Herb Watts Park and Hillcrest Apartments.

Meals will be available from 11:30 AM – 1:00 PM at Pisgah View Apartments as well as from 1:15 – 1:45 PM at Crowell Apartments.

We will also be offering a drive-thru meal pick up at Isaac Dickson Elementary School from 1:00 – 3:00 PM.

Meals will be served Monday-Friday, and on Friday we’ll be offering meals for Saturday and Sunday, as well.
