Asheville council person Marc Hunt announces he will run again

“I have more energy, determination, and passion than ever for public service. I am eager to continue leading and problem solving for our great community,” Hunt declared in a statement to the press on Wednesday.  Vice-mayor Hunt is finishing his first term this year.  In his announcement covered by the Citizen-Times, he highlighted his work on economic and environmental issues facing the city, as well as remarking that issues facing the city will require “balancing popularity and livability in our downtown, adapting our transportation networks, staying on top of land use and development issues, and especially in better addressing the affordability crisis that many of our families face.”
