Asheville FM fund drive week & April 28 kickoff party

Press release from Asheville FM:

It’s Fund Drive Time!
From Saturday, April 28, through Friday, May 4, we’re hosting our annual Spring Membership & Fund Drive.  We start the week with a Kick-off Party on the 28th at Catawba Brewing, from 2-6 pm with music, prizes and surprises. Please donate and help us spread the word. More details here.

Brain Cells Are Lit. Ideas Start to Hit
As heville FM & Timo’s House are hosting an event to connect local hip hop artists and community radio on April 26. Station DJs, local hip hop artists, and hip hop lovers will be there. Will you? Hit up the event page and let us know you’re coming.

Ticket Giveaway!
We have two pairs of tickets to the Built to Spill & Afghan Whigs show at the Orange Peel on April 29! To be eligible to win, like this Facebook post and tag a friend. We’ll pick two winners at random on Friday at noon. So get on it!

Hot Jams for Cool People
Every month, we upload 20 tracks to Spotify that have been popular at the station recently. Rock, world, jazz, experimental – it’s like a tiny version of our live feed! Subscribe and listen here. (And then turn on your radio again.)

Top Volunteer
We’re powered almost exclusively by volunteers, and so every quarter we like to give thanks and attention to one volunteer who could and did go above and beyond. This time, it’s DJ Airon, host of My So-Called Radio Show and our associate music director. Like an Oscar winner, he thanked a lot of people.
