Asheville High School/SILSA after school activities continuing as planned

Press release from Asheville City Schools:

In addition to today’s original water disruption, Asheville Water Resources reported a waterline break on McDowell Street, near the Asheville High School/SILSA campus.

As of 1:50 PM, the City of Asheville has said the repair is complete, and water is slowly being turned back on.

Currently, water has been restored to some parts of the high school campus. Therefore, weather permitting, after school activities will go forward as scheduled.

Per our safety protocols, Asheville City Schools will have cases of water on hand should one of our filtered water fountains be down.

Additionally, please know that we will closely monitor this situation and notify you as quickly as possible should tomorrow’s schedule be impacted.
