Asheville Museum of Science announces fundraising campaign fund kick-off event

The Asheville Museum of Science, the future incarnation of Asheville’s Colburn Earth Science Museum, has announced a Dec. 9 kick-off event for its upcoming fundraising campaign.

Held from 6 to 8 p.m. at Catawba Brewing Co. at 32 Banks Ave., the event will feature door prizes, food, beverages and a guest speaker.

In April 2016, the Colburn Museum will move from its current home in Pack Place to the Wells Fargo Building on Patton Avenue. The institution will re-brand itself as the Asheville Museum of Science and will offer modern and interactive exhibits for visitors of all ages.
