Press release from the Asheville Police Department:
The Asheville Police Department both practices and encourages firearms safety. Beginning today we are making 200 gun locks available on a first come first served basis. The locks will be available at the front desk of the Asheville Police Department (100 Court Plaza).
No personal information is required to obtain a gun lock. Simply come to the front desk of the Asheville Police Department Monday through Friday between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
If you have any questions regarding firearms safety, we encourage you to reach out to your local law enforcement agency for additional information.
