Asheville Police investigating counterfeit bills case

Press release from Asheville Police Department:

Asheville, NC (March 24, 2023): The Asheville Police Department is investigating a series of incidents involving counterfeit bills. Detectives are asking for the public’s help in identifying the man that has been using counterfeit $100 bills.

Within the past three months, a business located on Hendersonville Road reported receiving over a dozen counterfeit $100 bills. The man recently captured by surveillance used a counterfeit $100 bill to pay for a purchase and received legitimate bills in return.
