Asheville Police seek assistance in theft of guitars, keyboard worth $8K

Press release from Asheville Police Department:

Asheville, NC (Nov. 243, 2021): Asheville Police Department (APD) is asking the public’s help in identifying the suspect who broke into a guitar business early Tuesday morning and stole musical instruments worth more than $8,000.

Officers responded to the Guitar Center on Tunnel Road to investigate an early-morning break-in Nov. 23 in which they found the doors had been forced open by a pry bar or some other tool.   They viewed surveillance footage from the business which showed a white male, wearing black clothing, enter the business through the forced-open door.  He then made several trips as he stole a total of four guitars and one keyboard.

Anyone with information to share with the Asheville Police Department can send an anonymous tip using the TIP2APD smartphone application (search “Asheville PD” in your app store) or by texting TIP2APD to 847411. You can also contact APD at (828) 252-1110.
