Asheville Poverty Initiative seeks performers for 1st annual Asheville’s Hidden Voices event

Press release from Asheville Poverty Initiative:

Asheville Poverty Initiative will present an evening with 10 of the city’s best musical talents who are living below the federal poverty line.

 

Auditions are being held at Trinity United Methodist Church on Haywood Road on Friday, Jan. 10.  Call or email to schedule an audition time.  (828) 232-2149

The top 10 chosen at the auditions will perform at the Hidden Voices event on Monday night Feb. 24 and three winners will be chosen for prizes.  The event will be recorded by Echo Mountain Studio for production of a CD to be presold at the event.

 

Local judges:  David LaMotte, Erick Congdon, and Marissa McKinney
