Asheville town hall meeting Wednesday on need for a public report from Mueller

Press release from Progress NC Action:

Earlier this month, the House of Representatives voted 420 to ZERO in favor of the Mueller Transparency Resolution (H. Con. RES. 24), making clear that Congress and by extension American people wants to see Mueller’s report made public. A new poll released by Progress NC Action along with Protect the Investigation shows that 79 percent of N.C. voters think that Special Counsel Robert Mueller findings and report should be made public in its entirety.

On Wednesday night in Asheville, a coalition of grassroots activist groups, issue advocacy organizations, legal experts and concerned citizens will gather for the second in a series of town hall meetings across North Carolina: MAKE IT PUBLIC – Get Ready for the Mueller Report – The Asheville Town Hall.

WHAT: Town hall meeting on Mueller investigation and upcoming report

WHEN: Wednesday, March 27 at 6:00 PM

WHERE: 20 Oak Street, Asheville, NC (First Congregational UCC Asheville, NC)

WHO: Progress NC Action, Protect the Investigation, Indivisible Black Mountain, Stronger Together WNC-North, Madison County Indivisible

Speakers: Daniel Hervig – Attorney and former legislative director for recently retired U.S. Rep. John Conyers

Robin Lively Summers – Educator, activist, and member of Indivisible Asheville/WNC Steering Committee

Faisal Khan – Mueller Watch at Progress NC Action

“Now that the Mueller report has been delivered to the Justice Department, it is essential that the entire report is available to Congress and to American public,” said Faisal Khan of Progress NC Action. “Even if the report clears Trump and his administration from collusion with Russia, but it does not exonerate him. The American people have the right to see the truth, and the report must be made public immediately and all investigative information should be handed over to Congress.”
