Asheville City Council will hold special May 7 meeting to authorize water system lawsuit

From the city of Asheville:

The Asheville City Council will be holding a special meeting on Tuesday, May 7, 2013, at 5:00 p.m. in the Council Chamber, located on the 2nd Floor of City Hall. The purpose of this special meeting will be to consider authorizing legal action regarding NC House Bill 488, and other matters relating to the City’s water system and the effects of House Bill 488. At the meeting, it is anticipated that Council will into closed session, for the purpose of consulting with an attorney employed by the City about matters with respect to which the attorney–client privilege between the City and its attorney must be preserved, including potential litigation. The statutory authorization for the closed session is contained in N.C.G.S. 143-318.11(a)(3).

    Have ANY of you asked City Council why they REFUSED to negotiate NOR accept the $57 MILLION offer from MSD ??? that’s $57 MILLION city missed out on.

    democrat ‘leadership’ is an oxymoron.

    Please be sure to mention as many double entendre poopy/doo-doo references at said City Council meeting for a small mistake made by a contractor with the French Broad River.
