Asheville FM: FCC approves FM station

Here’s the announcement from Asheville FM:

The FCC announced today that our application for a Low-Power FM station was APPROVED! Friends of Community Radio, Inc., the parent non-profit organization for Asheville Free Media, was granted a Construction Permit to build a station that will broadcast on 103.3 FM at 100 watts from the Hotel Indigo in downtown Asheville. Stay tuned for more exciting info. In the next week we will be announcing 1) our call letters, and 2) a fundraising campaign for equipment and construction–because now we have to build it! More soon…
