Asheville Tea Party forum on Sheriff powers set for Feb. 26

Here’s the press release from the Asheville Tea Party:

On Tuesday, February 26, 2013, the Asheville Tea Party is sponsoring the public forum – The County Sheriff as Protector of Individual Freedom and The Constitution – with Oath Keeper Sheriff Chris Clinton and Freedom Forum Radio Host, Dr. Dan Eichenbaum.

The forum will be held at 7 P.M. at the Skyland Fire Department, 9 Miller Road, Skyland.

Dr Dan Eichenbaum, host of Dr Dan’s Freedom Forum and Freedom Forum Radio, and Oath Keeper Sheriff Chris Clinton, County Sheriff of Towns County, Georgia , will discuss the role of the county sheriff as the protector of constitutional rights when our freedoms are threatened by unconstitutional laws, regulations, and executive orders. Sheriff Clinton’s letter to the House and Senate leaders clarifies his position: http://oathkeepers.org/oath/2013/02/05/sheriff-chris-clinton-of-towns-county-georgia-letter-to-congress/

This forum has received enthusiastic support and attendance. There were two hundred and fifty in attendance at this forum in Cherokee County.

Audience participation will be a large part of the forum. Sheriffs and police chiefs from six counties have also been invited. We welcome their input. Asheville Tea Party Chair, Jane Bilello stated: “ In the present climate of gun control, national registration, and confiscation – clearly an assault on our 2nd Amendment right to keep and bear arms – it is vital that the public participate and have a voice.”

Skyland Fire and Rescue is located at 9 Miller Road in Skyland. From Highway 26, Take exit 37 for North Carolina 146/Long Shoals Road toward Skyland. Cross Hendersonville Road. Long Shoals Road turns into Miller Road. The fire station is on the corner of Long Shoals Road and Hendersonville Road.

There’s still a Tea Party? Aren’t they the group most republicans, and everyone else for that matter, are trying now to distance themselves from because they are a bunch of fatalist?
