Asheville’s American Meteorological Society plans 2014 climate data meeting

The American Meteorological Society’s Asheville chapter will hold the group’s January meeting at the Twisted Laurel on Tuesday, Jan. 27, at 6:30 p.m. Jake Crouch of National Climatic Data Center’s Climate Monitoring Branch will give “a sneak peek” of 2014 climate data, addressing whether 2014 was truly the warmest year on record.

Twisted Laurel is located at 130 College Street, and the meeting will be held on the second floor of the establishment. Free on-street parking is available after 6 p.m.

The Asheville, North Carolina Chapter of the American Meteorological Society is an autonomous local chapter of the American Meteorological Society made up of meteorologists, climatologists, teachers, and other interested individuals throughout Asheville and surrounding regions of Western North Carolina.
