ASPCA Spay/Neuter Alliance holds Neuter-a-thon today

Press release from The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals:

WHAT: In honor of National Spay/Neuter Awareness Month, the ASPCA® (The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals®) Spay/Neuter Alliance (ASNA) will be holding a Neuter-a-thon event for male cats today, Friday, February 22nd. ASNA will be offering up to 100 neuter surgeries for owned pets and shelter animals in Western North Carolina for only $10. Male cats will also receive a free rabies vaccination.

ASNA is a nationally recognized leader in high-quality, high-volume spay/neuter and supports the Western North Carolina community by sterilizing more than 25,000 animals annually. In addition, ASNA operates two training facilities on its Asheville campus, with training programs available for veterinary students, licensed veterinarians, and medical teams that work in mid- to high-volume spay/neuter environments. The team also helps animal welfare groups across the country open, operate and sustain high-quality, high-volume spay/neuter clinics.

The ASPCA recognizes that spay/neuter is currently among the best methods to combat animal homelessness and reduce shelter intake and euthanasia of cats and dogs. To learn more about the benefits of spaying or neutering pets, click here.

Scheduled appointments are required. Walk-ins will not be accepted. For more information, call 828-252-2079.
