Local artist and author, Court McCracken, releases of her first book, Art Nurture: The Simple Guide to Cultivating Your Creativity.” The book launch takes place at Biscuit Head (733 Haywood Rd., West Asheville) on Monday, Oct. 14, 6:30-8:30 p.m. The event includes live music, local beers, food and a book signing.

About the book:

“Court McCracken’s first book, Art Nurture, illustrates the growth of creativity in our lives as a simple process, parallel to nurturing and cultivating a seed to grow. She shares that each of us posses the seed of creativity inside of us. We can cultivate that seed into our own unique brand of creativity in our lives.

“Court has studied and taught visual art with museums and non-profits around the world. She found her passion as a creativity cultivator organically, after struggling with artist block herself. Through her journey, she came to realize that these issues were not exclusive to visual artists, but were important to each of us desiring to live passionate and full lives.

“NY Times Bestselling Author and Founder of the Innovate Conference, Dan Miller, says about Court’s book, ‘If you know your creativity has been buried by life- this is the resource for giving it wings once again.'”
