“Boo Bash” to benefit Cure Search

On June 1st, Jeanne Sommer hiked 28.3 miles in less than 10 hours to raise $1700 for curesearch.org. She has $800 remaining and this is the second “leg” of the fundraiser.

1st Annual Hidden River Events “Boo Bash” Halloween FUNdraiser

Friday, October 25, from 7-11 p.m.
Location: Hidden River Events: 30 Hidden River Drive, Swannanoa, NC 28778
Cost: $10 advance ticket for dinner provided by Mamacita’s and The Corner Kitchen with beer provided by The Weinhaus (and non-alcoholic beverages) $12 at the door.
100% of the proceeds to CureSearch.org dedicated to eliminating children’s cancers.
Dancing/DJ, Costume Contest (grand prize donated by Moog Music). Family friendly, Open to the public

Every day, 36 children are diagnosed with pediatric cancer. Seven of them will NOT survive. Cancer is the #1 cause of death by disease in children. Although the cure rate is now 80%–up by 30% in the last 20 years–it is not good enough.
