Press release from Brevard College:

“Grit,” a Senior Art Exhibition featuring the work of seven graduating art students, opens Friday, April 10, at 5:30 p.m. in the Sims Art Center Spiers Gallery at Brevard College. The exhibit is free and open to the public.

“This has been a very challenging semester, and I have learned a lot about myself and the relationship I have with my art,” said student artist Ashley Lowe. “As a whole, we are all working with different concepts, and we each bring different talents to the table. It will be a very well-rounded and cohesive show, and we are very excited to share all of our hard work with the community!”

Kevin Sherwood will exhibit sculpture; Skyler Chance, Tyler Chance, Briena Salyers, Ashley Lowe and Ryan RisCassi will show their paintings; and Madysun Adkins will show  her Graphic Design work. Ashley Lowe and Ryan RisCassi will also exhibit their photographs. At 6:00 p.m., each student will present a short gallery talk about their work.

Gallery hours for the show are 8 a.m. until 3 p.m. weekdays when the College is in session. The exhibition is on display until May 1.
