*UPDATED* Buncombe County closes parks in response to area flooding

UPDATED on 4-19 at 3:14 p.m.: Buncombe Recreation is closing Lake Julian Park due to flooding at Ranger Station.

Media notice from Buncombe County:

Buncombe County Sheriff’s Office is working with NCDOT and Fire Departments on road closures. Do not drive through high water or around barricades blocking off roads.

Buncombe County EMS advises the public if they spot a downed power line or tree please call 911.

Buncombe County River Parks are closing due to flooding. Check Facebook for park information.
