Buncombe County Friends of Agriculture breakfast set for Feb. 19

The Friends of Agriculture Breakfast is a quaterly complimentary breakfast with local food from Buncombe County Farms. Each Breakfast features an ag-related speaker to inform and update the agricultural community.

Local farmers Joe and Linda Brittain will highlight tailgate markets and their importance to our local economy. Drawing on their experience developing the Mills River Farmer’s Market, we’ll learn about the importance of markets to the local economy, the benefits to the farmer and the shopper, where to find markets, and how to get involved. Brittain Farms is a 7th generation family farm located in beautiful Mills River, specializing in poultry, both meat and eggs, as well as seasonal vegetables.
