Buncombe County hosts Special Olympics spring games day, May 5

Press release from Buncombe County Recreation Services:

Come join the fun on Thursday May 5, 2016 at TC Roberson High School football field.

Buncombe County Special Olympics will host the 2016 Spring Games Day event beginning at 9:00am. Athletes, from across Buncombe County, ages 6 years through adult will compete and show their skills in various track and field events.

Admission is FREE! Come cheer on the Special Olympic Athletes of Buncombe County.

Stop by and visit the Olympic Village and visit with McGruff the Crime Dog, from the Buncombe County Sheriff’s office. The Chick-Fil-A Cow and Mr. Moon from the Asheville Tourist will make an appearance too. There will be Face Painters, a rocking DJ and produce from the WNC Farmers market. Fun, Fun, Fun for all!
