Buncombe County Recreation Services hosts sand volleyball league

Press release from Buncombe County Recreation Services:

Get out your sunglasses and lather yourself up in sunscreen; summer is here, and what better way to soak up the sun than playing some volleyball. Buncombe County Recreation Services will host a Summer Sand Volleyball league open to adults of all skill levels. Competition is fun and friendly as teams go head-to-head to claim the title of Mountain Beach Volleyball Champions. Come be active, stay healthy, join friends, and meet others in this relaxed atmosphere.

Online registration is open now through June 5 at volleyball.buncomberecreation.org. Registration cost is $25 per person. If anyone is added to your team after June 5, the fee will be $35 per person. All fees include a team tank top. You can sign up as a single individual or assemble your own team of hand-selected volleyball victors. League rules require that teams have a minimum of six players and that all teams have at least two female players on the court at all times (so make sure your team is co-ed).

Games are played on Tuesday evenings, beginning June 5 at 5:30 p.m., on the Lake Julian Park Beach (more reasonably known as the sand volleyball court).
