Press release from Buncombe County Schools:
Superintendent Dr. Tony Baldwin today announces one new administrative assignment for Buncombe County Schools (BCS) for the 2018-19 school year.
Jeremy Stowe will be the new principal at Eblen Intermediate School. He formerly served as the principal at Emma Elementary (2014-2018) and Assistant Principal at Community High School and North Buncombe Middle and Elementary Schools (2003-2014). This transition leaves a vacancy at Emma Elementary which will be advertised through the BCS Human Resources Department.
The previously announced new principal assignments are listed below:
Travis Collins will be the new principal at Enka Intermediate. Mr. Collins comes to us from Haywood County where he served as the principal of Tuscola High School.
Melanie Ramsey will be the new director for the Progressive Education Program (PEP). Ms. Ramsey formerly served as the assistant principal at Enka Middle School.
Heather Brookshire will be the new principal at the Martin L. Nesbitt, Jr. Discovery Academy. She formerly served as the Assistant Principal at Reynolds Middle School.
David Robinson will be the new principal at Valley Springs Middle School. He formerly served as principal of Asheville City Schools’ SILSA program.
Anna Austin will serve as the principal of Johnston Elementary. She served previously as the assistant principal at Erwin High School.
Nathan Allison will serve as principal of T.C. Roberson High School. He formerly served as principal of the Nesbitt Discovery Academy.
Bonnie Johnston will serve as the new principal of Cane Creek Middle School. She was the principal at T.C. Roberson High School.
Karen Barnhill will serve as the new principal at Enka Middle School. She was the principal of Cane Creek Middle School.
