Buncombe County Schools closed Friday

At-large, Buncombe County Board of Education: Matt Kern, Donna Pate and Amy Smith Wamsley.

In preparation for a large winter storm to hit the area between this evening and Sunday, Buncombe County Schools have been declared closed Friday by the superintendent.  A similar announcement is expected from Asheville City Schools.

Announcement from Buncombe County Schools:

Superintendent Dr. Tony Baldwin has announced that all Buncombe County Schools will be closed on Friday, January 22, due to the imminent threat of hazardous wintry weather and dangerous road conditions.
