Buncombe County Special Olympics needs volunteers

Here’s the info via the Buncombe County website:

On Friday, July 27 and Saturday, July 28, Buncombe County’s Special Olympics will have an opportunity to raise money for athletes by operating two parking lots during Bele Chere. They need volunteers to collect money and help with parking.

This is one of Special Olympic’s largest fundraisers!

The lots are located at 35 Woodfin Street (old Health Center) and at 124 Hilliard Avenue in the Graybar Electric Company parking lot. Four people per four hour shift for each parking lot are needed. Both lots will be open on Friday from 4:00 – 9:00 p.m. and on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m.

For more information or to sign up for a time and location to work, contact:

Greg Mace — office (250-4260); cell phone (777-5634) or email (gregory.mace@buncombecounty.org). Contact Greg on or before July 16.
