Burial Beer Co. sets date for Burn Pile Harvest Fest, Oct. 24

Burial Beer Co. has scheduled its second Burn Pile Harvest Fest for 2-8 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 24. Focusing on a range of beer styles — everything from the ubiquitous autumn pumpkin brews to spiced ales and fresh-hopped lagers — the 2015 event will expand slightly on last year’s inaugural festival. This year will see the addition of harvest-themed food from Salt & Smoke, and the number of participating breweries grows from 20 to 30.

Burial is creating its annual batch of Slasher Sweet Potato Porter especially for the festival as well as an orange-carrot Belgian wit and other seasonal offerings.

Entry for Burn Pile is only $4, which includes a 5-ounce tasting glass. The beer and food will be sold a la carte. The full press release with details, including a list of participating breweries is below:

Saturday October 24, 2015 marks the second annual Burn Pile Harvest Festival at Burial Beer Co.’s taproom starting at 2pm. seasonally inspired craft beer from over 30 breweries across north Carolina will be pouring – many beers brewed just for the event. Come celebrate a season with creative and delicious NC brews.

To date we have the following Asheville Area breweries committed: Asheville Brewing Co., Catawba Brewing Co., Greenman Brewing Co., Hi-Wire Brewing, One World Brewing, Pisgah Brewing, Twin Leaf Brewery and Wicked Weed Brewing.

As well as: Appalachian Mountain Brewery (Boone, NC), Bird Song Brewing (Charlotte, NC), Boojum Brewing (Waynesville, NC), Crank Arm Brewing (Raleigh, NC), Duck Rabbit Brewery (Farmville, NC) Free Range Brewing (Charlotte, NC), Fonta Flora Brewery (Morganton, NC), Foothills Brewing (Winston- Salem, NC), Haw River Farmhouse Ales (Saxapahaw, NC), Innovation Brewing (Slyva, NC), Lonerider Brewery (Raleigh, NC), Mystery Brewing (Hillsborough, NC), Nantahala Brewing (Bryson City, NC), Natty Greene’s Brewing Co. This event will feature a range of styles from marzens to pumpkin beers, fresh hop lagers to spiced ales and dark ales such as stouts and porters.

Burial Beer Co. will be turning out some special brews for the event like our once a year Slasher Sweet Potato Porter as well as an orange, carrot Belgian Wit and some other seasonal surprises with farm fresh ingredients.

Entry for this event is $4 which includes a 5oz commemorative event glass. From there beer tickets are a la carte for $2 which gets you a full pour in your glass. extra beer tickets will be available to purchase as well at two location at the taproom. Cash and Credit card will be accepted. Please remember to tip your bartenders!

We will have live music from 5:00-8:00PM from Rich People and Nest Egg. Salt & Smoke will be cooking up a coursed out harvest feast from 2-8PM.
