Burnsville Wedding Expo, Feb. 20

PRESS RELEASE:

As engagement season ends, brides-to-be are booking venues and making plans for their big days. The first Burnsville Wedding Expo encourages brides and grooms and their friends and families to explore the offerings of more than 30 local vendors.

The expo takes place Saturday, Feb. 20, at Burnsville Town Center from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Participating exhibitors include event venues, florists, jewelers, photographers, event planners, bakers, caterers, dress retailers, DJs and transportation companies.

The expo is designed to showcase local businesses and allow brides to meet the vendors, see the products firsthand and ask questions.

“These local vendors add that personal touch, and that’s kind of what a small town like ours is known for,” says Chad Fox, Burnsville Town Center manager. “They have the work ethic and the customer service to help you through what at times can be a daunting task.”

Western North Carolina is a popular choice for destination weddings due to its natural beauty provided by the surrounding Blue Ridge Mountains. The expo should be informative for both local brides and those from other areas.

Admission to the Wedding Expo is $5. The event includes door prizes, raffles, samples and goodie bags.
