Catch the Wave Celebration for Woodfin Greenway on Oct. 3

Press release from the Friends of Woodfin Greenway & Blueway

On Oct. 3, join event co-hosts Asheville Greenworks, Connect Buncombe, French Broad River Academy, French Broad Riverkeeper/MountainTrue, and Riverlink to celebrate great progress to date, to learn more about the project, and to gather with friends. The project design team will be on hand with presentations and to gather your input.

Complementary snacks, soft drinks, and beer provided.

Awesome RAFFLE for a Dagger RPM whitewater kayak, a fishing kayak by Native Watercraft/LiquidLogic, a standup paddleboard from Southern Raft Supply, and other great items to be announced.

We’re planning for an outdoor event in beautiful fall weather, but there is plenty of indoor space on-site just in case.

Event proceeds will help build the project. Your support is appreciated (and needed!) Please consider an additional contribution to the project at checkout. Please also consider becoming an event sponsor.

Friends of Woodfin Greenway & Blueway is the proud fundraising partner of the Town of Woodfin and Buncombe County Greenways, who are building the project.  The YMCA of Western North Carolina is the project fiscal sponsor for the purpose of tax-deductible private donations.
