Charles George VA announces Memorial Day commemoration ceremony

ASHEVILLE — The Charles George VA Medical Center and the Buncombe County Veterans Council will commemorate Memorial Day at the Western North Carolina State Veterans Cemetery in Black Mountain on May 28, 2012. The ceremony begins at 10 a.m. Monday and will honor all of those who have died in service to our nation. The keynote speaker is Mr. Aixa Wilson a Veteran and recent graduate of Western North Carolina University’s Masters in Entrepreneurship program. Highlights of the ceremony also include music and the releasing of doves. Everyone is invited to attend. The cemetery is located at 962 West Old US Highway 70 in Black Mountain.
