City of Asheville ARPA funding recipients named

At its May 10, 2022 meeting, Asheville City Council adopted a resolution authorizing the city manager to execute the agreements for the fulfillment of the American Rescue Plan Act funding recommendations. These funds, in the amount of $11,723,257, come from ARPA funding.

City Council voted unanimously to authorize City Manager, Debra Campbell, to disperse America Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds to qualified applicants.

Those Recipients are:

  • COA Inclusive &  Accessible Gov.: City of Asheville CAPE, $514,120
  • Community Engagement: Young Men’s Inst. Cultural Center, $800,000
  • Southside Kitchen: We Give A Share, Inc., $90,000
  • Homeless Services Program: Eliada Homes, Inc., $473,050
  • Litter & Cleanliness Program: City of Asheville, $500,000
  • HELP2Day: Eagle Market Streets Devl Corp, $143,128
  • Mobile Meals Expansion: Food Connection Inc., $221,676
  • Domestic Violence Intervention: SPARC Foundation, $153,483
  • Affordable Housing: Thrive Asheville, $135,000
  • Upgrade: Dwntwn restrooms City of Asheville, $650,000
  • Emerg. Shelter: Domestic Violence Helpmate,  $2,000,000
  • Mountain Community Capital Fund: Mountain BizCapital, Inc. dba, $1,293,000
  • Continuum of Victims’ Services: The Mediation Center, $900,000
  • Perm Supportive Housing Expansion: Homeward Bound of WNC, $999,900
  • Equity & Resiliency: Affordable Home Habitat for Humanity, $600,000
  • Clean-Energy Upgrades Housing: Green Built Alliance, $250,000
  • Housing for Women& Children: ABCCM, $999,900
  • Housing & Income Stability: Pisgah Legal Services, $1,000,000
