Cloud Cottage to host vegan cooking retreat, June 20

Cloud Cottage Community of Mindful Living in Black Mountain will be hosting a retreat on Saturday, June 20, to celebrate Vietnamese vegan cooking combined with meditation and mindfulness. The retreat will be held from 10:00 a.m to 4:00 p.m. on Saturday with lunch provided, and the suggested donation is $40.

Vietnamese vegan cooking combined with mindfulness will mark an upcoming retreat day at Cloud Cottage: Savoring Life, Nourishing Families, An immersion into healthy living with Chef Gary Massey, 10:00-4:00, Saturday, June 20. Participants will practice seated and walking meditation, and will engage in preparing several savory dishes. Lunch provided. Suggested donation $40. Cloud Cottage offers mindfulness practice in the Plum Village tradition of Zen master Thich Nhat Hanh, as well as classes in Buddhism. Regular meditation times are Wednesdays 6-7:30 PM and Sundays 8-9:00 AM, followed by tea and book study. Cloud Cottage is located at 219 Old Toll Circle, Black Mountain.
