Comedian Etta May will perform at The Strand, Sept. 9

Kentucky native Etta May, often called the “Polyester Princess,” is making a stop on her tour in Waynesville, NC at The Strand on September 9 at 8pm. This Queen of Southern Sass will surely have the audience in stitches with her tell it like it is humor.

Etta May married quickly, had four children, a string of dead end jobs, and drove a school bus for ten years. This turned out to be a lifetime of experiences to fuel her comedic fire. Etta May decided to use her talents and her own wisdoms to make people laugh.

Winning the prestigious American Comedy Awards: “Stand-Up Comic of the Year,” has been on of many highlights to her career. Etta May has also appeared on well-known shows like Oprah, Arsenio Hall, Comic Strip Live, MTV and many more. Fans can also enjoy her work with the successful Southern Fried Chicks Comedy Tour on SiriusXM comedy channels.
