Comic Envy host Free Comic Book Day festivities

Asheville Geeks and Nerds, it’s time to turn on the bat-signal and get ready for FREE COMIC BOOK DAY!

Once again, COMIC ENVY will be celebrating in style with contests, special guests, prizes and as always, FREE COMICS!

For the past 15 years, the first saturday in May has been the day for comic book fans big and small to show their love and nerd pride by stopping by their local store and participating in the industry’s favorite event. Whether you’re a dedicated collector, a movie fan, a casual reader or simply just interested, Free Comic Book Day is for you!

On Saturday May 6th, Asheville’s favorite comic store Comic Envy will be hosting local artists and comic creators, a costume contest and door prizes throughout the day to show our love to our great local community. But it’s not all about fun, we will also be launching several fundraising efforts to support our local charities and schools.

Stop by and see what the buzz is all about, and dip your toe into the wonderful world of comic books!
