David LaMotte book release for “Worldchanging 101” at White Horse, Oct. 12

From a press release:

David LaMotte book release for “Worldchanging 101” at White Horse, Oct. 12

Montreat singer-songwriter David LaMotte has been a force on the local scene and beyond for over eighteen years, not only for his acclaimed songs but as a voice for positive change. His songs, tireless touring and gentle authority have earned him a large and loyal worldwide following. In his new book, “Worldchanging 101”, he challenges the myth of powerlessness in the face of large issues and offers guidance in discerning a  personal vocation for action. LaMotte marks the book’s release with a celebration at the White Horse Black Mountain on Sunday, October 12 at 7:30 p.m.

It’s easy for people of conscience to become immobilized by the scope of the world’s challenges, but David LaMotte’s book lays out realistic suggestions for getting started as an agent for change. At the book release celebration, David will play a few songs and speak about his published ideas. There will also be book discounts and door prizes at the event. A portion of the admission fee will go to support Homeward Bound’s Welcome Home Project, which helps place people in housing and assists their transition to stability.

Show begins at 8 p.m. Tickets are $10. Tickets available online at whitehorseblackmountain.com
