Do-Good Date Night fundraiser returns, April 6

Asheville’s Flora hosts a fundraiser for Dogwood Alliance that features storytellers and acclaimed cellist Brooke German

WHAT: Flora, a West Asheville based full service floral shop hosts its second Do-Good Date Night, a fundraiser that will benefit Asheville-based, regional environmental group Dogwood Alliance’s work to protect forests, communities and climate in the Southern US. The ticketed event features wine and cheese pairings from District Wine Bar and music from acclaimed cellist Brooke German.

WHEN: Saturday, April 6th, from 7-10 p.m.

WHERE: Flora, 428 B Haywood Road in West Asheville. (map)

WHO: Experience Flora’s new vibrant space while tasting hand-selected wines from around the globe perfectly matched with delectable cheeses created by the experts at District Wine Bar. The event will feature musical storytelling from local Asheville performers as well as an inspirational call to action to show love for the forests that do so much for us. Highly acclaimed local musician Brooke German, will also be providing a cello performance.

WHY: As a local business that survives and thrives because of the bounty of nature, the owners wanted to give back by helping to raise awareness and funds for a local organization whose critical work is shining a spotlight on the need to protect forests and slow down the most disastrous impacts of climate change. They felt the call that is time we all #Stand4Forests. This is a great way to have an amazing night with your sweetie and make a difference all at the same time.
