Doctors Without Borders looks for prospective medical and non-medical personnel in Asheville

WHAT: A presentation by MSF aid workers and recruitment officers and Q & A session to learn more about how medical and non-medical professionals can become part of MSF’s field work.

DETAILS: Doctors Without Borders is an international medical humanitarian organization that delivers emergency aid to people affected by armed conflict, epidemics, natural and man-made disasters, and exclusion from health care in more than 60 countries.

Each year, MSF doctors, nurses, logisticians, water and sanitation experts, administrators, and other medical and non-medical professionals depart on more than 7,700 aid assignments. They work alongside more than 30,900 locally hired staff to provide medical care.

A human resources officer will be on-hand to discuss requirements and the recruitment process and local MSF aid workers will share their stories of life in the field.

This is an opportunity to meet MSF’s recruitment team and learn how to put your ideals into practice.

Q&A WITH LOCAL AID WORKER: Kelly McDonald has worked as a nurse with MSF in Niger, Guatemala, Haiti, Kenya, and the Democratic Republic of Congo.
