‘Dr. Phil’ to feature East Henderson High School rape case

A former East Henderson High School football player charged with rape and his alleged victim are scheduled to appear on two upcoming episodes of the “Dr. Phil” show.

The programs featuring James Matthew Bishop and the girl will show them discussing the Dec. 8 incident at a party, according to a preview on the show’s website.

Bishop is charged with second-degree rape along with Vincent Joseph Curto, Tyler Scott Garren and Justin Wesley Ponder. All are 17 years old and attended East Henderson High at the time of the alleged attack.
