Flood watch, cooler temperatures in forecast

The National Weather Service has issued a flood watch for the Asheville area beginning at midnight Wednesday night.  The wet weather likely will bring with it cooler temperatures,.

The Weather Service predicts 1 to 2 inches of rain across the Western North Carolina mountains with the possibility of as much as 3 to 5 inches.

The chance of rain is expected to be 100 percent on Thursday with a high near 70.  The cooler weather will continue into the weekend.
