Flow Food for Movement workshop at The Block Off Biltmore, Aug. 19

Flow Food for Movement, a workshop on nutrition for yoga, will take place 12:30-4:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 19, downtown at The Block Off Biltmore. The class will cover topics such as ayurvedics, macrobiotics, sattvic diets, compassionate consumption, Buddhist and yogic principles, nutrition for strength, nutrition for balance, nutrition for blood detoxification and much more.

The afternoon will begin with herbal tea and move into a yoga flow with Inner Wild Yoga’s Nathalie Claes. Instruction will follow on the nutritive benefits of clean eating for yoga, dance and fitness. Participants will be able to sample recipes, learn to make alternatives to familiar, stagnant foods and dine on a seasonal brunch ending with tea, music and meditation. The Block Off Biltmore’s speciality cocktails and virgin elixirs will be available for purchase.
