Asheville, NC — Scot Wedgeworth, star of the Food Network’s reality-based wedding and special event series “Bama Glama”, will demonstrate “do-it-yourself” entertaining ideas during his “Hope for the Holidays Tour” which lands in Asheville on Wednesday, November 28th at Club Eleven in the Grove House Complex.
This special evening, sponsored by Bama Vodka, will begin at 7pm and will spotlight the Food Network celebrity’s fun and festive holiday party designs ideas which range from easy to outrageous.
An Alabama native, Scot is the creative vision behind Scot Wedgeworth Weddings, Events and Entertaining. He has crafted hundreds of special events and celebrity-studded celebrations. His “Bama Glama” reality series premiered last December on the Food Network Channel and features Scot’s signature over-the-top flair and edgy sense of humor.
General admission tickets for the “Hope for the Holidays Tour” are $25. VIP tickets are $40 and include a post-event meet and greet with Scot and a cocktail party featuring Bama Vodka.
A portion of proceeds from “Hope for the Holidays” will benefit the Western North Carolina AIDS Project and Loving Food Resources. Tickets can be purchased in advance by calling The Grove House at (828) 505-1612 or WNCAP at (828) 252-7489.
Loving Food Resources (LFR) is a food pantry for people living with HIV/AIDS and those in home hospice care. First organized in November 1991 when three individuals realized that people with HIV/AIDS and other terminal illnesses too often chose between buying food or the medicines keeping them alive, LFR has grown to serve an average of 75 clients per week. From the earliest days when volunteers packed boxes of food for clients to pick up, now clients shop from shelves and coolers and select the food themselves. Food boxes average approximately 45 lbs per week.
The mission of WNCAP, founded in 1986, is to provide HIV-related services to the people of Western North Carolina through client support, prevention education and outreach in a collaborative and financially responsible manner. The agency serves approximately 450 HIV-positive men, women and youth in the WNC region each year and reaches thousands more with lifesaving HIV/AIDS prevention information and resources.
