Free weekly workouts? Believe it.

From the press release:

Western North Carolina Fit Club is a free, weekly gathering for exercise, nutrition and support. Two levels of Fit Club will be held every Monday in Sylva & every Tuesday in Asheville. Level 1 is for those individuals who haven’t worked out in a while, those looking for a less strenuous workout, and those who are pre-diabetic or trying to manage their Type-2 diabetes. Level 2 is for those wanting to get into the best shape of their life — get ready to “Bring It” and “Dig Deeper”!

Exercise, nutrition, and support are integrated into all of Ginn’s programs, including the challenge groups he coaches. Made up of five people who commit to getting healthy, members of challenge groups participate in a workout program, track progress, hold each other accountable, and support each other. Members of challenge groups are also eligible to win cash prizes.

At the age of 50, Ginn decided to commit to make exercise and nutrition a priority in his life. His success was that he lost 40 pounds and got in the best shape of his life. He says that “Secretly, I kind of like having six-pack abs for the first time in my life – at 51 years old! I now want to be known as a fitness enthusiast.”

Ginn states, “Don’t be afraid to show up, all levels of fitness are welcome. You can even watch if you’re not quite ready to participate. All the moves can be modified and the intensity level reduced so it’s right for you. Just do your best, and forget the rest!”
