Glass Artist, Cheryl Stippich, will be offering a Stained Glass Class starting Tuesday, July 1st, from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Opportunity House in Hendersonville. The class will run for eight weeks through August 19th.
The class will focus on the copper foil method of stained glass popularized by Tiffany in the late 1800’s and is geared for beginners and intermediates as well as glass crafters interested in refreshing their skills or those individuals that like working in a group setting.
Students will learn how to cut and fit glass properly, foil, solder, patina and finish their won glass projects starting with a small suncatcher and working up to larger hanging panels according to their skill level.
Stippich has over 24 years experience working in stained glass and is a member of the Southern Highland Craft Guild since 1996. Call the Opportunity House to register at 692-0575. Come learn the fun and addictive craft of stained glass!
