National press release:

OGDEN, Utah (May 1, 2017) – You’ve never seen a pet treat truck like this before. From the oversized dog bone and paw, to the fun signage and retro look, it’ll be love at first sight.

Dog enthusiasts can check out the Good Stuff Pet Truck on Thursday, May 11, in Asheville. Free tips from a local dog trainer and dog treats await canines and their humans, when this eye-catching dog lover’s truck rolls into Azalea Road Dog Park.

A custom-designed food truck made just for dogs and cats, the Good Stuff Pet Truck is stopping in cities across America this spring and summer to help educate pet owners about using positive reinforcement dog training to ensure their animals enjoy deliciously balanced lives.

Pet parents who stop by the Good Stuff Pet Truck may participate in free dog-training demos and Q&A sessions with a trainer. They’ll also find a fun backdrop for a photo opp in the backyard-styled doggy lounge, complete with “grass” and picket fence. Pictures from the pet experience may be shared via Twitter and Instagram using #GoodStuffPetTruck.

When it comes to training, dogs learn best through positive reinforcement because it teaches them desirable behaviors. Rewarding dogs with small treats and praise for things we want them to do motivates them to repeat those behaviors.

“When dogs are fit and trained using positive reinforcement, they’re happier dogs,” said Pet Expert Steve Dale, a certified animal behavior consultant, syndicated pet columnist and radio host. “If they’re overweight – and more than half of dogs in the United States are carrying extra pounds – they’re more likely to develop health issues like type 2 diabetes, heart disease and even cancer.”

American Pet Nutrition, makers of Vita Bone® Artisan Inspired® Treats and Supreme Source® grain-free dog food, sponsors the Good Stuff Pet Truck Tour. Packed with vitamins and minerals, Vita Bone and Supreme Source have the taste dogs love and the nutrition owners want. Vita Bone Artisan Inspired Treats are made with real meat, fruit and vegetables. The thoughtfully crafted savory treats are perfect for training rewards or unexpected indulgences. Supreme Source grain-free dog food contains none of the following ingredients: corn, wheat, soy, artificial flavors and artificial colors.

Dog owners can learn more at www.GoodStuffPetTruck.com and follow the tour at #GoodStuffPetTruck.

How lucky are we to live in a city with so many awesome LOCAL pet stores and LOCAL trainers who are here to help pets EVERYDAY! It would be nice if these were promoted by the MountainXpress as much as out-of-town services are! :)
