GroWNC offers July 30 scenario-planning workshop

From a release from GroWNC…

GroWNC has collected and synthesized data, run scenarios, and developed alternatives based on the goals you set and the opinions offered by the community. Now it’s time to look at the alternatives that have been developed, tell us what works, what doesn’t, how they can work together (or not), and what’s missing.

Provide your input on your expectations for growth and strategies for the future – it really will help shape our future. Don’t miss this important opportunity to take this project to the next level. July 30, 2012 at 9:30 AM at the NC Arboretum.

At the Scenario Planning workshop, workgroup members will:
integrate workgroups (work together across subject areas to examine scenarios)
recognize complementary and competing goals
compare two future scenarios to see if one achieves goals better than the other, or suggest a third scenario
What is Scenario Planning?
Scenario Planning is a method for learning about the future.
Understand the potential consequences of present-day choices.
Make wise decisions in the face of uncertainty.
