Tues. 9/4 10:30 am- 11:00 am Mad Science Lab – All About Me!

Ages 3-7. Learn about what makes a person unique. It will give younger children a chance to describe themselves, learn about fingerprints, and do a fun activity wear they get to dress and decorate a paper doll like themselves. Sponsored by Drs. Alison & Richard Reid, Pediatric Dentistry & Orthodontics. Free with $5 admission/free for members.

Fri. 9/7 2:00 pm – 5:00 pm Maker Space – Open Make!

Ages 4-12. Jump back into the Maker spirit with an Open Make day! Bring your creativity and make whatever your brain can imagine.  Free with $5 admission/free for members.

Tues. 9/11-Thurs.9/13 All day. NCPlayDaze!

All Ages. North Carolina’s PlayDaze celebrates the value of play and is designed to provide diverse play activities for toddlers to grandparents! Come celebrate NCPlayDaze, which is Sept 15, 16, and 17 by playing giant games in our party room. This self-directed activity is free with $5 admission/free for members. Thurs. 9/13 11:00 am-12:00 pm. Blue Ridge Humane Day!

Come visit a special animal from the Blue Ridge Humane Society. Learn fun facts and play with a special friend! This activity is free with $5 admission/free for members.

Fri. 9/14 All Day. Hands On! Birthday Party!

Join us for cake, ice cream, and science as we celebrate 11 years of education! Free with $5 admission/free for members.

Tues. 9/18-Fri.9/21 All day. Pirate Pizzaz!

All ages. Celebrate Talk Like a Pirate Day, September 19th, by learning pirate lingo and making pirate crafts. Free with $5 admission/free for members. Sponsored by Van Winkle Law Firm.

Tues. 9/18 10:30 am- 11:00 am Mad Science Lab – Floating Boats!

Ages 3-7. In honor of National Talk Like A Pirate Day, we will offer a program about boats and how they float! Learn about density and buoyancy, and make your own boat! Free with $5 admission/free for members.

Thurs. 9/20 5:00 pm – 9:00 pm. Rhythm and Brews! Join Hands On! Educators and volunteers in the family fun zone!

Fri. 9/21 2:00 pm – 5:00 pm Maker Space – Treasure Chests!

Ages 4-12. Design and test a chest to keep treasure safe! Use the materials in our Maker Space, or build one from recycled magazines. Free with $5 admission/free for members.

Mon. 9/24 3:30 pm – 4:30 pm Science on Wheels.

Tues. 9/25-Fri.9/28 All day. Alphabet-mania!

All ages. Use child friendly stamps to create your name, phrases, and much more. Enjoy a kinetic way to learn your alphabet. Free with $5 admission/free for members. Sponsored by the Etowah Valley Veterinary Hospital.

Tues. 9/25 10:30 am- 11:00 am Mad Science Lab – Letters, Letters, Everywhere!

Ages 3-7. An introduction to the alphabet for younger children, and a challenge in spelling for older children. Join us to sing the alphabet song, work on letter and sound recognition, and make a letter craft for the first letter of their first name.Free with $5 admission/free for members.

Wed. 9/26 4:00 pm – 5:00 pm Science on Wheels.

Fri. 9/28 2:00pm-5:00pm Maker Space – Wax Molded Letters!

Ages 4-12. Join us to melt down crayons, learn how molds work, and take home their own letters! Free with $5 admission/free for members.
