Hendersonville expresses support for Small Business Saturday

From a press release:

Black Friday is an American tradition, but a growing and in our minds more enjoyable shopping holiday is the emerging Small Business Saturday. First observed on Nov. 27, 2010, it is a counterpart to Black Friday and Cyber Monday, which feature big box retail and e-commerce stores respectively. By contrast, Small Business Saturday encourages holiday shoppers to patronize brick and mortar businesses that are small and local. We can’t think of a better description for the many businesses that lovingly call downtown Hendersonville home!

Join us on Nov. 29, to show your support for the variety of small local businesses that are part of your community. Many of downtown’s businesses will be offering in-store specials and welcoming visitors in other ways. Welcome to the neighborhood and Shop Small!

Some of the participating stores include Fountainhead Bookstore, Four Seasons Christmas Garden Décor and More, Lois’ Closet, Emma’s Baby Boutique, Art MoB: Art Studios and Marketplace and Tribal Trends.

Visit the city of Hendersonville webpage for more information.
